In reading this, remember we are talking about Portland. If you are used to REAL strip clubs where things can get really fun, you won't find it in this town. The local rules about proximity and touching are right out of the dark ages.
The place is pretty shabby inside; they obviously don't put a lot of effort into the decor. It isn't as nice as Dolphin II, for example, but similar to Club 205 or Starz. I would characterize most of the clientele as blue collar.
There is a cover charge, but it's only $4.
The steak I had was quite good and only $6. The whole evening (other than dancer tips) was $16 so this is a cheap place to hang out.
The waitresses were very busy and it probably took me 10 minutes to get her attention, 15 minutes to get my first drink.
There are three stages and, as nearly as I could tell from watching the cycle, there were four dancers. All four had good bodies and were capable dancers. The fact that I left without knowing any one of their names should tell you a lot.
Some of them pick out guys around the stage that they are attracted to and spend all their time with them. It isn't about tipping; it seems to be about who the girl is attracted to.
The ones that were, at least friendly, never told their name, never asked for a private dance, and all seemed to pretty much disappear once their time on stage was done. Having said that, the friendly ones at least engaged in some banter while they danced in front of me and said ''thank you'' when they collected their tips.
I did observe one or two girls giving dances in what passes for a dance room; basically a section off the main floor with chairs lining the walls. From what I could see, the three inch rule was carefully maintained. It didn't look like paying $20 to go there got you any more than paying $1 at the stage.
If I am stuck in Portland, I think there are a few more I haven't been to yet but generally get the sense that this is about as good as it gets.
